Description
Remarkable 19th century chest, made of solid larch wood, which embodies the rustic charm of the Alpine folk art of the Haute-Maurienne region of Savoie. This piece was originally used as a traditional dough drum and is a testament to the craftsmanship and practical beauty typical of the period. Thanks to its generous size and robust construction, it is both a functional storage unit and a striking decorative element. The chest's rich patina and timeless design reflect its history and provide a connection to the cultural heritage of the French Alps.
