Description

Large dining table, made of remarkable solid pine wood, in the style of Hendrik Berlage, circa 1920s. The shape of this table has a lot of similarities with the designs of Berlage. This Dutch dining table is in very good condition and seats up to six people comfortably.

Hendrik Petrus Berlage (Amsterdam, 1856 - Den Haag, 1934) was a Dutch architect, urban designer, and furniture maker. He is considered one of the fathers of the architecture of the Amsterdamse School.

The Amsterdam School (Dutch: Amsterdamse School) is a style of architecture that arose from 1910 through about 1930 in the Netherlands. The Amsterdam School movement is part of international Expressionist architecture, sometimes linked to German Brick Expressionism.
