Organic Modern Olive Wood Table Lamp - Circa 1970

Description

This Organic Modern table lamp combines the expressive beauty of olive wood with a distinctly sculptural silhouette. Composed of a rounded base and matching shade connected by a slender curved stem, the design explores the relationship between natural material and organic form. The dramatic grain patterns of the olive wood animate the surface, ensuring that each angle reveals a different visual character.

Created circa 1970, the lamp reflects the growing appreciation for handcrafted objects and organic forms that emerged during the period. Its softly modelled shapes evoke naturally occurring forms while maintaining a refined modernist restraint. Balancing craftsmanship, material richness and functional simplicity, the piece stands as an elegant example of decorative lighting from the era.
