Den Boon started his career as a draftsman for architects, and in 1929, he joined the De Stijl group. He worked closely with Gerrit Rietveld, contributing to iconic designs such as the famous Red and Blue chair. In 1948, Den Boon co-founded the architectural collective Groep 32 with other former members of De Stijl. His talents extended beyond architecture, as he also designed furniture, lighting, and objects for companies like Leerdam Glass.
