Primitive Robust Bench - 19th Century

Description

This robust high-sided bench dates back to the 19th century and is entirely hand-crafted in solid, aged wood. Its compact, upright proportions and sculptural corner posts give it the sturdy charm of traditional alpine or rural vernacular furniture. The rich patina and visible tool marks speak to its long life of everyday use. It is well-suited for hallway seating, a rustic entryway, or as a standalone sculptural accent. The bench’s simple joinery and unrefined detailing reflect its utilitarian origins while adding to its authentic character.
