A set of two Ghost Deep armchairs and matching ottomans by Paola Navone for Gervasoni, distinguished by their generous proportions and metallic silver upholstery.
Ghost Deep Armchairs and Ottomans by Paola Navone for Gervasoni, Italy - 21st Century
Description
Set of two Ghost Deep armchairs and two matching ottomans designed by Paola Navone for Italian furniture manufacturer Gervasoni. Each armchair features a deep upholstered seat, broad armrests and loose back cushions, enclosed within a rectilinear silhouette. The accompanying ottomans follow the same generously padded construction. All four pieces are covered in metallic silver fabric with a deliberately crinkled texture, creating shifting highlights across their surfaces. The contrast between the structured outlines and the irregular textile finish gives the set its distinctive appearance.
Designed by Paola Navone, the Ghost collection for Gervasoni explores the relationship between conventional upholstered furniture and removable textile coverings. Its relaxed proportions and loosely fitted upholstery challenge the more rigid appearance of traditional lounge seating. In this silver execution, the reflective fabric introduces an unexpected visual dimension, contrasting the familiar domestic character of the armchairs with an almost futuristic material expression. The result is a distinctive interpretation of contemporary Italian furniture design. The set consists of two armchairs and two matching ottomans, sold together.
