Description

Sculptural bamboo three-seater bench, designed in Italy in the mid-20th century, showcasing a rare and expressive silhouette with a soaring, architectural backrest. Hand-shaped bamboo rods and meticulously bound rattan joints define the bench’s striking form, giving it a cathedral-like outline that is at once airy and commanding. The rhythmic verticality is balanced by a grounded base of arched bamboo supports and a gently curving footprint. The seat is composed of tightly laid bamboo rods, creating a durable platform with just the right amount of spring, ready to be layered with cushions or appreciated bare for its natural clarity. A matching pair of lounge chairs is available in a separate listing.
