Pierre Chapo, Mid-Century Modern, library or shelving system, France, 1970s. This important piece is made out of French elm, which is extinct. The use of this particular wood guarantees age and authenticity. The library consists out of two parts: a sideboard which has three doors, showing a simple yet very complex design, constructed in solid elm. The top part is provided with two adjustable shelves which can be placed on a desirable height. Both parts are finished with stunning details such as Pierre Chapo’s trademark wooden joints.
