Description
Pia Manu, coffee table, slate, iron, Belgium, the 1970s. Brutalist cocktail table by Pia Manu. The tabletop is a beautiful slate mosaic. Displaying a variety of complementary natural colors, from pink to gold and green. This piece has very wabi-sabi feel to it and would nicely in an Axel Vervoordt inspired interior. Pia Manu is a workshop from Ingelmunster, Belgium. Here, amongst others, Jules Dewaele and his son Koen Dewaele designed several design pieces during the 1960s. Pia Manu is still working along similar lines, with natural materials such as stone and travertine combined with ceramics. The ceramic tables are commonly known and these are bought at Amphora.- Materials
