Dal Vera 'Les Arcs' Chairs Selected by Charlotte Perriand - 1970's
Description
Dal Vera 'Les Arcs' chair, selected by Charlotte Perriand, France, 1970s. Les Arcs chairs with tubular chrome-plated metal framing and cognac leather seating. Chairs manufactured by Dal Vera and selected by Charlotte Perriand (1903-1999) for Les Arcs, a ski resort in the Alps in southeastern France. The design features a strong and dynamic appearance, mainly by combining leather and chrome-plated metal. The presence of patina provides a certain uniqueness, which certainly makes the chairs stand out.
Charlotte Perriand (24 October 1903 – 27 October 1999) was a French architect and designer, famous for her sober furniture directly inspired by the mountains and Japan. She brought a new vision to the furniture by removing all the elements that seemed superfluous. Her work aimed to create functional living spaces in the belief that better design helps in creating a better society.
We have two chairs available, priced per piece.
