Description
Cherrywood lightweight dining chairs, set of six. Provided with a beautiful crest rail, spindled back and woven wicker seats. The front legs continue the spindled technique. This Chiavari chair was originally designed by Giuseppe Gaetano Descales and crafted for two centuries in the Ligurian coastline city of Chiavari, Italy. The "Chiavarine" chairs were a great success all over Europe, especially in France, where they were highly appreciated by Napoleon III, so much they used to call them "Parisian" chairs.- Materials
