Italian wingback armchair in red upholstery by Gio Ponti. Gio Ponti high-back lounge chair with a slightly titled backrest that supports the seating posture, making it very comfortable to sit in. This elegantly shaped lounge chair of Italian origin comes with a vibrant red upholstery making it suitable as a standout item in your hallway or in the heart of your interior.

Gio Ponti (1891-1979) was trained as an architect but was also a poet, a painter, a designer of exhibitions, glass, lightning and of course furniture. He is perhaps most known for being one of the architects of the Pirelli tower in Milan, at one time the tallest building in Europe. But above all, Ponti was responsible for the renewal of Italian architect and decorative arts during the 20th century.
